Reinstallation of Video Deluxe 2015

Rosario-12 wrote on 2/28/2015, 5:36 AM

I recently installed, registered and activated the Video deluxe 2015 in my Laptop (24/02/2015) and got confirmation from www.magix.com.

On 26 Feb I had a total crash in my laptop due to failures of updates Windows 7 Service Pack 1, a looping between Windows start and automatic shut down of my notebook.  I decided to reinstall whole Windows 7, Internet Explorer and rest of the applications I had before.  When I tried to reinstall Video Deluxe 2015 in my laptop, Magix.com denied the installation, giving me the option to reactivate the license on 24 March 2015.

Can anybody help and allow me to reinstall this software which I bought from a local retailer?  I have the CD/DVD version as my property.

Your help is appreciated.

Rosario

Hi

Because you have reinstalled Windows the notebook now has a new computer ID or name.

You need to go to the Magix website - magix.com.

Click the top right icon (head and shoulders) and log in using the email address and password you used to register the software.

Click My Products, select Show activated devices.

Deactivate the computer that is registered.

You should now be able to register the new installation.

Hello John,

When I open the magix.com Website in my computer, it does not show the (head and shoulders) as you say, nor I cannot login into my account.  Can you send me the link and send the image of the "head and shoulders" as you mentioned?

or do you mean that I should totally uninstall Video Deluxe 2015 via Control Panel and from there remove the software.

Can you please be a bit more specific on the steps to follow?  Thank you.  Rosario

Magix.com. The head & shoulders icon is at the upper right of the screen next to the shopping cart.

Hi

. . . . or do you mean that I should totally uninstall Video Deluxe 2015 via Control Panel and from there remove the software.. . . . .

No - follow my instructions - the head and shoulders icon is this one

All you are going to do on the Magix website is deregister the computer.

Then you can register the software you have installed.

John.

John,

I followed your instructions with the Head and shoulders, but Magix Center reported "Sorry you can activate the license with this laptop on 24 March 2015".

I have submitted a request to Magix Support System in Germany and a ticket was generated.  I hope by Monday 2 March 2015 someone from Magix Team will contact me and find a solution to my problem.

Thank you for your inputs and regards
