Please Please Help - Error Message when trying to make a DVD on PhotoStory

sheilasmithwick wrote on 12/1/2015, 3:58 AM

This is the error I am getting. I have spent many, many, many hours putting the slideshow together and now I can't cut the DVD!  I am getting sick to my stomach! I can't figure out what to do.

The error message reads:

Burning was aborted with the following error:

Internal error while processing

Parameter error (invalid request)

I have used Photostory for several years and have never had so much trouble with it.  The 2015 issue seems to need a few fixes.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do?

Hi

How long is the video on the timeline?

What settings are you selecting in the Burn dialog?

I am using the settings for best quality.

The slideshow is long and it says it will split it into 2 DVDs, which is fine, but when it gets to the last step of burning the DVD, it goes straight to the error message.

I have months of work in this slideshow. I will be just sick to my stomach if I have to scrap it!

Any ideas?

Hi

. . . . The slideshow is long and it says it will split it into 2 DVDs . . . .

Please be more specific when answering questions about a problem you have,  It is important that we have accurate information for us to be able to help solve the issue as quickly as possible.

Try the following:

  1. Update the Burn routines - the latest are here. If that fails

  2. Split the project into two seperate projects each less than 2 hrs long and try burning them individually.

johnebaker! Thank you so much!  I had already updated the burn routines, but I decided to try again anyway, and for some reason your link worked. I am sooooo excited and grateful that you took the time to answer my call for help!

Well....now it is not working again! Something bad wrong with Magix Photostory.  I guess I will have to get a new program.  I really don't want to. I love Photostory most of the time!
