When I link a PDF document to one of my web pages and the link is clicked on the PDF document takes up the whole page and the navigation buttons are not visible. When I close out of the PDF the whole website closes down. How do I can get my navigation link text buttons to show up on top of the page when the PDF is open?

When you create the link from the Link tab to the PDF there is an option 'Open link' to set how the document opens - set this to New Window ( _blank) - the PDF will then open in a new window or tab depending on the browser.
Note you cannot use the Pop up layer or Pop up photo options with this and I would not use a popup to display files - there is nothing more annoying then windows popping up in a website and a lot of users disble popups in their browser.

have to import multiple .pdf's for a school per grade. From grade 8-12. I have over 200 .pdfs to import and linking each pdf to a name it is time consuming. I have to click on each name, go to web properties and link it to the .pdf. I have tried to import multiple .pdf's but there it shows only the pdf logo with no description. How do I go about importing these files with names or on a googledrive. I am lost, please help

AFAIK, there is no easy way of doing this with Xara Web Designer.
We used a web based content management system, Moodle, for this, does the school have such a system?
