MEP17: Delay in displaying title templates

terrypin wrote on 9/9/2011, 2:59 AM

I've raised this very long-standing problem before. It seems that others don't suffer from it so must be down to my setup. Just to be sure, I'd appreciate confirmation that others don't get the 6-7 second delay I always get, as shown in this short YouTube movie.

And if anyone has any suggestions on how I can isolate and fix it I'd be very grateful please.

There's just ONE URL link in my post, but it turns out like you see below!

Hi Terry,

I have MEP17 just for a few weeks, so I have not changed the settings much. In my installation there is almost no delay when I click standard, as you do in your movie. Maybe we can compare settings? What do you want me to check?

Hi Terry

Same for me after a years use - no slow down.

Do you still have all those items in your system tray running?  If so try stopping them all with the exception of AV of course - unless you disconnect from the Internet - and see if you get any speed increase, you could be short on resources.
