Intros and outros problem

rwright88 wrote on 5/1/2015, 11:13 PM

I have MEP 2015 Plus. When adding an intro and outro from the "Designer elements" section, when I add an outro to the end of a video file, the intro disappears. If I add the intro back again, the outro disappears. This happens no matter how long the video file is, or what format (mp4, mpg, mov, wmv etc.) if I make a photo slide show, I can add both with no problem. If I add a single photo to the end of a video file, I can add both with no problem. If I try to delete the photo the outro is deleted also. Everything else seems to work fine, but I've only had the program a few days. Any ideas as to a solution? I'm assuming you're supposed to be able to add an intro and outro to the beginning and end of a video file. Thank you for allowing me to join this forum.

Hi

Welcome to the forum.

. . . . . I'm assuming you're supposed to be able to add an intro and outro to the beginning and end of a video file. . . . .

Not quite - this is one of the effects that is mutually exclusive in its application to video and images.

As you have found out, you can attach either the Intro or Outro to one video or image object but not both.  You must hae two seperate objects to use both effects.

If you have only one video object to which you want to add both the Intro and Outro then you must make a cut in that object - position the timeline cursor anywhere in the video and press the T key.  You can then add the Intro to the first part and the Outro to the second.

Note the label for the Aircraft outro is mislabelled.- the first one is the Outro.

Thanks so much for the quick response. I feel kind of dumb for not being able to figure that one out! Thanks again!
