Hi

Which version of Windows are you running?

During the installation did you select Run this program for All Users or Just you?

Before you reinstalled did you delete all the remaining Magix files left behind in the program files folder - and Program Data folder if Windows 7 or (IIRC) Vista?

When reinstalling - disconnect from the Internet,  turn off Norton completely ie Firewall and Antivirus and any other function of Norton - it does have a habit of interfering with some installations .

Also you should not run two firewalls use Norton or the system one but not both - they will compete and slow your computer down.
