When trying to use the plug in "Logoaway 4" the programe opens up but there is no preview screen and I have no idea what to do.
I've never tried this plug-in before, although I did already have it installed as part of VirtualDub.
Having done some very limited experimenting with it in VPX4 (I don't have MEP 16 so can't directly test it there) I see the plug-in's menu screen open with many options but, like you, I have no idea what those options do or how to use them!
However, pressing "Preview" seems to produce no change that I can see and so I wonder whether Logoaway works "best" in VirtualDub itself. If I have time later today I'll try and test it to find out. My reason for wondering this is because I have a VirtualDub plug-in called NeatVideo; it is superb for removing video noise (picture interference) but the latest versions do not work in MEP or VPX! So I keep an older version available in VPX and the latest version in VD. (There is a reason for that strange set-up; it depends on the format of the footage I'm trying to treat since VD only wants .avi.)

Hi. Just to update my previous answer: yes, logoaway can be made to work in VPX and hence, presumably, MEP.
However, I've not yet had chance to fully detail the necessary workflow in order to help you so it may be a couple of days or more before I can suggest in detail how to achieve removal of a logo or similar.

OK. Here we go! I've checked this workflow in both MEP MX Premium and VPX4 and it does work although it's very clunky!!
I'm assuming your video clip is on the timeline, you've highlighted it and gone to the plug-ins menu and chosen logoaway, you see the "menu" screen for logoaway open and then, nothing seems to happen! On that screen click "OK" (don't worry about anything else there.) That screen, and I think the MEP Plug-ins screen should both close.
Back at the timeline, highlight the video clip again, go to Effects>Plug ins (logoaway should be listed on the right hand side), choose "Plug-in settings". You will see that same menu screen open again. (You will need to ensure that both the logoaway and plug-in screens do not cover your video preview screen; for me, I drag them one at a time towards the bottom edge of my monitor.)
On the logoaway menu screen , make sure "Visible Borders" is ticked. Immediately you should see a small dotted rectangle appear towards the upper left corner of your video preview screen. By using a combination of "Logo Border Position" and "Logo Border Size" you can resize and move this rectangle until it lies precisely on top of the logo/watermark you need to remove.
You will then need to experiment with any other settings to "improve" the quality of the delogo effect. I can't advise which will be the "best" since, even in my very limited use of this plug, some settings seem to make little if any difference, some rather more, depending on the transparency/colour/size of the logo.
I think the critical (and not very intuitive step) is to close the plug-in window and then re-open it to make the settings in logoaway.
