I've been trying to update my MEP15+ as it says there is a new version available, but every time I try it I get this error message

it says:
Installation interrupted!
Magix movie edit pro15 plus could not be found on your system!

Please install movie edit pro 15 from the original program CD

the installation will exit!

the program has been kinda acting funny since.  I even reinstalled the program & i'm getting the same thing. I do not have the original CD since mine is a download version.

what should I do?

thank you!

I managed to download a patch manually from the magix support site. installed it, and then doubled checked - now it says my version is up to date. Hopefully that works all the kinks out.

Glad to hear you have already tackled the problem. I was going to suggest a manual download. Sometimes, the auto-updater locates and downloads the incorrect patch version. (There are basically a bunch of different versions and possible combinations of the software: UK/US version, classic/Plus version, download/disc version). Manually finding and installing the correct patch via the support site will take care of the issue.

I don't think any other problems you've been experiencing can be attributed to the previously failed patch download, but I hope everything is well now after the successful patch installation. If not, just post again and provide all details regarding your problem. Maybe it's something someone here can help with.
