Well i wont to edit a video for youtube my cam can do 60fps but my progam will only let me edit at 29fps. My goal here is slow motion look alot better in 60fps i can slow it down better. I just want to know if there is a add on or download to be able to do that. Thanks Tom

What you are trying to do is not the correct way - MEP will tell you that the video and project settings are different and do you want to adjust.  Clicking Yes or No  does not have the effect you desire.

Load the clip onto the timeline then select the Effects tab, Video effects, Speed option and check the Interpolate intermediate images option

Note:  with the audio grouped with the video you can only go down to 0.25 x speed, to go even slower you must ungroup the audio from the video, delete the audio if you wish, and then you can type a lower value into the box at the end of the speed slider.

Here is an example at 0.1 X speed with interpolation - original video is 25fps

John, my guess is that Tom can not see a 60fps format choice in the project settings so that his timeline shows all 60 frames every second. He is wanting to be sure he gets the full number of recorded frames when slowing the motion in MEP so that it appears smoother, without using interpolation.

Tom - In the Project Settings window (E key) set the resolution preset to match your cameras recording format resolution and then just type in the recorded fps, which should be 59.94 in NTSC land. When you come to export, go to the AVCHD disc option in the burn screen and in the advanced encoder options there should be a 60P preset if you are on the latest patch that came out for MEP17. This version added 50/60p functionality as a retrofit so it is not straight forward as in later versions. Note that even now there are only a few Bluray players that can play 50/60p files but you can play the resulting .m2ts file in your encoded disc image Stream file via a WDTV Live player on you TV.

@Ss - agree with you on this re the project and export settings  - you can set virtually any frame rate you want with in reason - I have exported at 100fps for testing with my BD player .

The OP says he wants to upload to Youtube which, AFAICS, does not yet support 60fps, even though they say upload your video at its original frame rate ieg 60fps it would appear that they still down convert to 30 fps.
