MMM 15 by example can work with Windows 7 64 bits. But there is a trick.
When you install it under Windows 7, the files are splitted in 2 directories :
. Program Files x(86), directory dedicated to 32 bits software
. ProgramData
You have the same sub-directories structure of MAGIX\... in ProgramData than in Program Files x(86).
For MMM, copy the sub-directories of ProgramData into Program File x(86). It solves the "path problem" and MMM15 works like in XP. I use it with any problem for 2 months.
You have to check with your version.
Nota : some software are "self contain". If you have an image or a copy of an installed XP program, it can be perhaps directly run in Windows 7. It is the case of a lot of game, by example IL2 (fly simulator). If you have a copy on an external hard drive, try directly to execute it from the external hard drive. Double click on the *.exe file. If it runs, you can copy it in a directory of your internal HDD. Wait and see!
